Description
Light and bright, the Peter Griffits Hall is suitable for smaller groups and classes as well as seated meetings such as lectures or AGMs. It is also an ideal size and space for children’s parties.
Entrance is via a lobby on the north side, with full disabled access on the west side.
There are gentlemen’s toilets and the ladies’ toilets have been adapted for additional use as a unisex facility for the disabled. Baby changing facilities are available.
Hire of the Peter Griffits Hall includes use of a service area with a deep shelf opening on to the hall from which food and drink can be served. There are teacups and saucers, cafetieres and a large urn available for your use. Folding doors close the service area from the hall when it is not in use.
Also available for hire is a fully fitted kitchen for food preparation and cooking. The Booking Office can secure an alcohol licence for your event as requested.
The store room contains plastic stacking chairs, a wheeled chair trolley, folding tables and wooden trestle tables, all included in the Hire of the Hall. There is also a slide projector stand for use in conjunction with the retractable screen (5 ft wide) attached to the wall in the hall. The piano in the hall is available for hirers’ use. In 2016, a new Fire Alarm System was installed, serving the whole of the Village Hall.
